i am curious has any one tried true duals on a 3.0 v6 yet? i had them on my mighty max 3.0 v6 and it sounded pretty good with no converters and hallowed out glasspacks. yes it was fairly loud. but what exhaust manifold would you use on the rear?

True duals are near impossible on our setup. You'd have to eliminate the crossover pipe and have a welder make some flanges from your pipe , not to mention routing and mouting them so they don't rattle like a tin can. Transverse engines flex front to back or vice versa. On such a solid setup, it probably wouldn't be wise. Nor would the gain be worth the cost. HP will go up a little on the top, but low end torque will suffer severely. Unless you're boosted or high compression and have VERY good flowing heads and intake, it will be regretted. It will sound cool if done right, but again...torque matters most in my book.

True duals would be a waste of time IMO. Fake duals out back would look cool but would difficult. I keep trying to find a way of putting fake duals on the back of my Spirit but that damn spare tire well is right in the way

cut it out. A metal cutting wheel and a nice drill should do the job in an hour. Then, weld some sheet metal in it's place. I haven't had a chance to do this yet, but it's in the cards. Then you could fab some fake duals like a firebird/camaro using their muffler.

I've thought about that but I'd rather not cut up my Spirit.

i was thinking of making it like the stock lebaron with both tips/ pipes together on one side. i've seen it done with the fake duals with one on each side at the chrysler classic this year and he didn't have anything cut and it was on a daytona.
