Sounds good. You'll find that Ed and I are generally pretty easy to get ahold of.

Sorry about that. I actually just replied. I've been out of town on business and then on Wednesday I woke up in my hotel room with food poisoning. I got home last night and am feeling almost human today.

So we now have 2 orders for spacers... 153 posts... and only two takers. For some reason I was thinking we were going to have to turn out 10 - 20 sets. Is anyone else interested?

I'll be test fitting some 1" spacers tomorrow. Cross your fingers.

I have 1/2" spacers and no rubbing issues at all, I believe you can go up to about 3/4" or maybe 7/8"

Ok... I tested out a set of 1" spacers in my 92 IROC. The hood closes. I cut off the flaps from a cardboard box, cut them to the shape of the front half of the plenum, and tried stacking them on top. With one flap, the hood closed but with some pressure. Two flaps... it won't close at all. (This is with the hood liner in place.)

So what this tells me is that if you had really solid motor mounts, you might be able to get away with 1" spacers. Much movement at all though is going to have the plenum bouncing off the hood. 3/4" would be much safer. ...for what it's worth, I didn't leave the 1 inchers installed on my car.

Note: If people are really struggling to make a decision between 1/2" and 3/4", it looks like we can also get 5/8" material. ...I want to keep the number of thicknesses offered down so we don't end up with a bunch of spare material laying around but if 5/8" is the miracle answer everyone is looking for then so be it.

To get the 1" spacers to be happy on my spirit I had removed the hoodliner and actually cut some metal off my hood.
Rubbing wasnt a problem till I installed a solid passenger motor mount that wasnt sagging 1/2" :P

I'd be interested in a set of 1/2" spacers when I get some spare cash.
