For every run i made at the strip i did not have a working tach so everything was based off feel so i can't tell you what i shifted at. Also the dragstrip passes were the first time i drove the duster so my feel might not have been the most accurate setting. I did manage to get the tach working once i made it a daily driver.

BRING ON THE DYNO.

One more thing.

I head down to Crown Point area quite a bit to visit yogurtslinger. I would be more than happy to meet the guy from chicago and take him for some runs and he can check the car out or we could run 'em for pinks

The car weighed in at 2800 with the seats removed and i haven't had it on the scale with them back in it. But if you guys want i can take it to a truck scale and have it weighed now.

Unfortunately, I will be out of town the Saturday after Thanksgiving...

Before I call off this Saturday's testing, anybody else want to step forward and volunteer?

Not at all. No worries. Brent and I have been bantering back and forth on numbers since long before this thread started.

I really would like to get a stock 3.0 on the dyne in addition to one that is modded in the typical way from someone who is a really good driver putting down incredible 1/4 mile times. That will allow us to establish a baseline and a reasonable power range for comparison to other vehicles. Then we'll at least be able to gauge if a mod worked and, from a relative stand point, how well. If the numbers of the modded car come out very high like 170-180whp then I owe Brent an appology and will happily give him one. I'd really love to see a road to that type of output. I think everyone here is in search of more power, but if we can't agree on what the true baseline is, we'll never make any quantifiable progress or be able to agree that such progress was made.

Uggg.....I wish I still had my car. I would jump all over this opportunity. I figure it must have been putting down at least 180 WHP to trap 96 - 97 MPH @ 2,600 LBS race weight.
