Id still go with a turbo myself. I considered a supercharger...in fact i was considering offer harvi a grand for his setup...he lives not far from me but ...i think a turbo will suite my needs best...i dont know about dusty.

i hope i do so i have an excuse to build a stronger one! i do plan on running a udp w/ 3in piping and a pretty big intercooler so i think i should be around 12-15psi. w/ a proper tune i think the stock motor can handle it but we will see.

Just remember that Dan was pre-detonating with his setup after the motor warmed up to operating temps. You're definately going to need to use a water/meth setup if no intercooler is going to be installed.

^^+1 start low and move up.

(i hope an UDP and smallest SC pully will keep an M90 around 8psi, stupid detonation prone 24v :-p)

I'd start with the largest SC pulley first. Then work the way down.

Yeah, he usually drove the car with the underdrive pulley because it pinged like crazy with the higher boost. I would say its luck he didnt lose any pistons.

I'm a real believer in water injection. Keeps the knock away so you can run full timing to keep your EGT's down

I took this picture to educate a supercharger retarded person who was arguing with me on another site.

I thought I would share this since I had talked about it before.
Obviously the m90 is not a 100lb/hr supercharger but you can see here how superchargers work and what happens when you increase blower speed etc. This is how a Roots map should look but I think companies hide this information (nobody knows why just like nobody knows why a T67 turbo compressor map is secret).

If this was a screwcharger imagine the center efficiency island being 85% or higher and the HP losses being 1/4 what they are on that chart.

So that means a 1000hp screwcharged motor would lose 15hp driving the supercharger, be more efficient (this term confused the person who i was talking about because they think the term efficiency when talking about superchargers/turbos is a combination of things rather then 1 specific measurement of heat added lol).........and have a powerband from near idle to redline!!!
The crappy thing about screwchargers is they are very expensive, and upgrading (rather then just overdriving it....you can see what overdriving does to superchargers in the chart) will cost you $5-15K depending on your setup. Also you might not be able to handle the insane torque (or your transmission might not be able to).

If you look at this chart it should make you throw up when you think how unhelpful supercharger charts that companies provide are.

You can see here a BIG roots blower on a really efficient large motor can make 500hp and only draw 10hp from the engine.
