therefore her torque would probably drop and also peak at a HIGHER rpm and also HP would raise a little bit.

Automatic trannies are why some TD guys make 400ft/lb's and are still pretty slow.
Tiny turbo that spools at 2000 rpms and a torque converter are going to create huge torque. Torque that is absolutely useless when driving and wont make you faster in the 1/4.

Depends what kind of towing... The torque converter multiplies torque off the line, but that advantage quickly disappears. On the highway, a manual is still more effiecient... Been there done that.

My van gets better fuel economy numbers since the 604->543 swap.

I believe this is why semi's are still manual...

You can get some good torque multiplication by letting the clutch slip off the line like the ricers do. Makes a nasty smell though

torque converters are also inefficent, that's why you'll see a fuel economy increase with a manual trans.

That's right. They turn a lot of energy into heat. That's why they came up with locking torque converters

Even when the TC is locked up, AT's still drive an oil pump...
