The GM units have the internal bypass, I don't know if the Fords do. It's that little butterfly valve that you can see from the underside of the unit, it runs from a vacuum diapraghm on the outside. If you've got a vacuum actuator hanging on the side of the unit, that's what it's for.

what it does is it lets the sc freespin at cruise so you can get better fuel economy, it just bypasses the rotors. you can see it in these pics of my gm m90.

you guys need to hurry up and start getting those super cars together :P we need a 3.0 section with lots of boosted cars that run :P

Well, that too. And boost level control as well. The guy who owns Intense Racing wrote down exactly how the vacuum and pressure systems work for the GTP, it was pretty helpful since my blower had no lines attached when I got it.

Yeah, Ford didn't use one. No idea if they used an external BOV, or more likely nothing at all.
