Early 90s Sonata came with the 6G for a bit. They called it the G6A or something like that. Different intake and exhaust, everything else was essentially the same as ours.

Hyundai's motor designs were initially mitsubishis. that is why the sonata has a 6G variant, so does teh tibby (with a 6sp manual to boot with the same 6G bolt pattern ) donno if/what else there is. Mitsu helped get hyundai up and running, which is why they have the 6G

The Tibby has the 2.7 four cam, not the 3.0. I don't think the 2.7 is based on the 3.0, but it should have similar bolt patterns.
