this is a HUGE step in the right direction. It could open up so many doors that seemed unachievable. Boost, nitrous, or just more N/A performance. I would like to see the speed gov. extended, rev limiter raised, timing retard eliminated or as suggested earlier extended with the additional perks of a more aggressive fuel and timing curve, closed loop operation adjustments, etc. This could be the way to attract more people to the 3.0L crowd or handful to be more correct. There is a demand for these extreme modifications, but we need risk takers. We need to consumer (us) and the distributor (Cindy @FWD Hopefully) to take a step outside the boundaries of typical TDers. Lets incorporate a new more widely used engine into the Turbo crowd. We know the engine is strong and underpowered by nature. But there is more that we can do than just simple "tweaks" such as timing bumps, FPR's, TB's, UDP's, and other bolt on's that the ECM would fight us with like cams and ported manifolds, heads, etc. This could be the gateway to a broader range of possibilities. This isn't just a vision. It isn't that far from a reality. Why waste soo much time, emotion, and especially MONEY, not to mention the aggravation of TUNING the damn thing. Lets just make things 100x's easier and have a cal made? We need someone to take this risk. I seriously think Cindy has considered this and if she follows through I would be sooo much happier as well as most of us here. Again, just my .02
