Anyone who may have a 3.0 torn down...can someone tell me whether or not the spark plug threads protrude into the cylinder chamber, when the plug is properly seated? Basically, if you thread a spark plug into the head...how much of it sticks out in the chamber side of the head?

Thanks!

I believe our plugs have a 1/2" thread reach minus the compressed plug gasket and then compare to the amount of thread in your head. The correct plugs should not protrude into the chamber. It should be as close to flush as possible. You can tell by looking at the plug by the coloration on the threads. If you see black on the last few threads, they're protruding.

Cool, thanks folks.
Getting the plugs out is my current concern, actually. I've gotta work them back and forth a good bit to slowly get them to loosen up. I didn't know if it was carbon build up on any exposed threads, or if it's just the whole steel plugs/alum. Heads issue. I figured it was the latter.

Thanks!
