ive been compiling gear ratios of different 3.0 based transmissions (granted use of some transmissions would mean an arseload of modding/fabricating to work)if my math is correct (on rolling distance per mile ect this results in the following MPH chart

a543
FD 3.77 speed @ 6500rpms
1st 3.09 38.55
2nd 1.83 64.99
3rd 1.22 97.88
4th 0.89 134.15
5th 0.74 160.76

3000 GT 6sp
1st 3.27 35.53
2nd 1.90 60.95
3rd 1.24 93.51
4th 0.92 126.41
5th 0.73 158.31
6th 0.59 197.02

Eclipse GT
1st 3.33 36.03
2nd 2.11 57.04
3rd 1.41 85.34
4th 1.03 116.47
5th 0.76 157.79

Tibburon 6sp
1st 3.15 32.17
2nd 1.94 52.17
3rd 1.33 76.08
4th 1.06 96.13
5th 0.86 118.34
6th 0.70 144.06

A568 hybrids - there were the pre and post a568's and the only difference was in 1st gear

FD 3.77
1st(early?) 3.31 35.99
1st(late?) 3.00 39.71
2nd 1.89 63.03
3rd 1.28 93.06
4th 0.94 126.73
5th 0.71 167.78

FD 3.55
1st(early?) 3.31 38.22
1st(late?) 3.00 42.17
2nd 1.89 66.93
3rd 1.28 98.83
4th 0.94 134.58
5th 0.71 178.18

so the TALLEST gears would be the 3.0 first gear a568 hybrid with a 3.55/3.5FD ratio. im gonna stick out my 3.77FD a543 with my 24v asd supercharger progect and see how well it does. i know M90Daytona and Odonti are both staying with the straight a543 as well

Those numbers for the chryslers are almost ALL wrong

Download Franks Gearing calculator.
You didnt even get the final drive ratios correct.

You didnt say what tire size that was either.

Realistically you are going to go with much bigger (and taller) tires if you want to put any power down.
Your MPH @6500 rpms is way to low........but all your gearing numbers are wrong etc. Im not really sure where to start.

My stock 3.50 will go 196mph with my 225/60r15's @ 6500 rpms (not possible on stock electronics or without a lot more hp).

Seriously, look at Franks gearing calculator. There is not even such a thing as 3.55 gears. Why do you think we all say "3.50"
The individual gears are wrong for the chrysler trannies too.
The hybrid info......almost correct but your math must be wrong on everything or you use 20" tall tires.

the numbers are wrong? hmmm, coulda sworn i pulled em off of one of the dodge sites here or from the tranny page listed....... here it is http://minimopar.knizefamily.net/transmanual.html
thats where i got the chrysler ratios. the other ratios i got from said car's forum and checked the threads for contradictory info (unless i somehow was dyslexic or plain dumb when i wrote em all down )

the 3.55 i thought was one of the a568's FD ratios, but i was wrong on that one lol

my math was using a stock 195/60R15 tire

i figured taller gears were a must, which was why i was looking into a 3.5FD swap or an a568 gearset swap with the 3.5FD as well. (trying to locate one is a different story though) although i could be revving as high as 7500 or 8000 with the supercharger setup which will increase the gear speeds a little

Yes the numbers on that site are correct, the numbers your posted for the 3.77 trans for example, are wrong.

The MPH math is also wrong for a 195/60r15 tire your numbers are very low.....its like you are using a 22" diameter tire.

Here is a543 gears from the site you posted. Notice how your info is all wrong?
You are doing something wrong when calculating MPH too.

I think you are basing your need for a certain gearing in your trans off of incorrect information. Also using those tiny tires as reference doesnt help either. Wont matter what gears you have if your tires are that small, especially with a supercharter.
My duster has 195/60r15 azieniz or whatever they are from the previous owner and they are useless for traction. i will probably swap tires with the spirit unless I just get something more useful for the street.

Gear Ratio
(1990-1991) Ratio
(1992-1993)
1st 3.29:1 3.31:1
2nd 2.08:1 2.06:1
3rd 1.45:1 1.36:1
4th 1.04:1 0.97:1
5th 0.72:1 0.71:1
Reverse 3.14:1 3.14:1
Final Drive 3.50:1, 3.85:1 3.77:1
Overall 2.52:1, 2.77:1 2.68:1
