I was figuring it wouldn't actually "stick" too well and was contemplating knocking pegs in, or short self tappers with their heads clipped, or something like that to give it something to hold on to. Figured that it might be an idea to try and get one of those thermal barrier coatings on top of it when it was finished also. To stop the thin edges lifting mostly. I guess a further measure might be to chop up some steel wool and work that into it to give it more tensile strength, and enhance thermal conductivity if necessary.

I use a special epoxy to reshape the intake ports. I have had in the heads on my daily driver van for about a year now. It survived 100+F ambient temps while towing a Spirit R/T. It has survived a winter in Indiana...

I second that. But I want to know more about when those stage 1+ heads will be available for sale.

Stage 1 will be stock valves w/epoxy to reshape the port.
Stage 2 will be oversized SS valves. Still deciding on what size... I am thinking +1 intake/+2 or +3 exhaust... But I am very willing to work with somebody if they have a specific combination they would like...

For cases where the block has been stroked or over-bored, larger valves and ports may be needed. A lot will depend on where you want the peak hp...

The problem I am running into right now is the speed density equations can't believe that the high RPM flow is as good as it is. So at WOT things get lean. If you turn up the fuel pressure, the extra gets learned out... A custom computer with a recurve volumetric efficiency table would help...

I am in the middle of trying a two stage fuel pressure regulation system to try and keep the ECU from seeing the extra fuel during closed loop.

Another alternative would be tuning for peak hp to happen at a lower RPM...

The good news is, the engine doesn't blow, just not making as much power as it could...

I would probably go with stage 2 heads....im going with a fairly large overbore...in fact i might go with the same overbore and pistons as brent...not to copy or anything.

yeah because I was the first besides the 50 or so others who have done it on 3000gts
I am willing to shamelessly copy anything that works well
