you did compression tests on ALL the cylinders?

btw if you are driving the car you dont need the fan. The fan is for when the car is sitting still or moving very slowly.

yes all 6 cylinders had good compression could it be something inside the optispark distributor shorting out when it gets hot? i had a car one time that had a crack in the dist cap and it would arc only when it got hot and theres alot of traffic where i live so im sitting still most of the time or barely moving

it used to turn on last summer but now it doesnt i jumpered the fan relay and it turns right on ill probably stick another relay in and see what happens, its got a newer coolant temp sensor so its probably not that doesnt autozone sell thermostatic switches where you put the probe through the radiator fins and dial in the temp you want the fan to turn on im thinking ill try that after the relay but thats not gonna fix the slight missing problem it has when you start it and gradually grows thats whats making me think its an ignition related problem, having magnecor wires ngk v power plugs a shorter coil wire and an msd coil be just too much for the stock distributor?

I have a ford 5.0 coil that packs more punch then the msd coil and it has never been a problem as far as that kind of issue goes.

Tim....I forgot to mention what I was saying was for a short term thing. Like until you figure things out. Though I have seen many vehicles driven for years without them with no ill effects.
Oh and Ondorki...I said exactly what I meant to say to Tim in my post other than the part above. If you can't handle it....thats your issue. "You make an Iraq invasion out of going to the shooting range!" on way too many things. Try backing off the caffeine, please. Have a nice day.

Check on page 1 cause i said this like 15 times.

I now have been enlightened by the truth. It is sort of Like the allegory of the cave. Im glad you took me away from watching the shadows on the wall and allowed me to see the deeper meaning behind what I had been saying and the reality of it all (the light).

BTW, now I need an explanation of how running without a thermostat will prevent Tim's engine from overheating when the fan does not work. I am ready to be blown way by truth mr Plato

your friend probably didnt know about the secret rule that it is socially illegal to convert an n/a 2.2/2.5 to turbo.
95% of replies to such a topic will be negative

yes i am lazy when i type sort of like sending text messages on a cell phone i see it as a waste of time to type periods capital letters commas, etc you still fully understood what i said and by the way why is it unacceptable to convert a na to turbo that should demand more respect than someone that just went out and bought a turbo car because they have time involved instead of just money there are plenty of ricers in my area that have their bolt ons even done for them and even if they beat me in a race i give them no respect DO THE WORK YOURSELF ITS MORE REWARDING!!!!
