If I am being more accurate, the "R" in gt35r is the DBB designation.
I believe gt35e is technically the name for the non dbb.

gt3582 (56 trim) is the "good" compressor wheel.

Like I said, a precision sc6152 is basically a gt35 without dbb. well...the compressor wheels are the same but I believe the gt35 has the more "advanced" turbine wheel design.

Remember this page says 400-600hp but you can always make less by keeping the boost down.
That URL SHOWs the different exhaust options. I personally would go with the .63 a/r (the smallest) unless you are trying to make some "uber" hp.
TurboByGarrett.com - Catalog
You will find a lot of 1.6-2.0L engine size folk using this turbo on their street cars so dont be scared of it. If you think full boost at 1500 rpms is a good idea, well then enjoy the car that is impossible to drive and all the stupid tickets you will get.

Anyways I think its very important to be careful about buying your turbo. Ive messed up on that multiple times. lol ive even recently seen a TDer who is very knowledgable purchase a worthless ebay turbo that is damaged and which he will not be able to fix. he just wasnt being careful. Turbo shopping can make you jump at something that seems cheap, or enticed you to buy something you dont need or cant really afford. if you ever feel like "i have to buy it now or I will miss this magical opportunity" thats probably when you should NOT buy it.

If Frank is still on this website, he knows a lot about the gt35R & the sc6152

I would look at precision turbos website.

I can honestly say that Ive never shopped for a real gt series turbos.

Garret only has a few vendors for their real turbos.

redline?
Depends which gt42 you get too. There are a lot of turbine choices.

Precision turbo's isn't the most user-friendly website. At least for me. But good news is I got my AN-12 fitting today so I'm going to have it welded tomorrow and put my pan on my block so I can focus more on my exhaust and turbocharger.

Use the Phone!
I never order online when I can talk to a real person :P
Then you can at least get some feedback.
If you call them there are ALL sorts of things/products available that you would not know from the website.
I bought compressor housing + backplate + compressor housing that you cant buy on the website.

gt4294 is cool but i dont know what the point would be as I cant use its potencial.
Even the smallest turbine a/r is probably way to big on that turbo.
I could be very wrong since nobody has done it. The gt42's I see people using on 3000gt's are not spooling till after 4000 rpms (aka making boost) and maybe making max boost at 5000 rpms BUT I dont think they are using the smallest gt42 turbine.
Anyways this stuff is fun for me to think about. I would love to try a gt4294 with smallest a/r turbine housing if someone wanted to donate it lol. I definitely would not try to max it out unless that same person also wanted to donate a new engine lol. I wouldnt use a cast crank at those power levels (700-900hp) and the forged cranks are PROVEN to crack over time at those powerlevels so you need to magnaflux test for cracks and replace the crank every couple years or once a year depending on the power you are putting down.
That or buy a custom billet crank and then the $$$ just gets STUPID. Not something I want to install in a plymouth duster at this point in my life.

well at least the person has high feedback.

I dont know if that has the turbine housing you would want.
I would look on garrets website
Edit: I just looked. The .82 housing is the "middle" housing.
I guess if you tried it and you wanted quicker spool you could buy the .63 housing and install that. That would probably cost another 200 bucks.

Im quite sure the .63 can support 500-600hp so I dont think there will be any issues up top.
The different housings are something to think about when you are fine tuning your setup to do what you want or trying to get a little more power out of the same turbo etc.
