I got around to taking apart the in tank fuel pump holder for my '93-ish shadow. I went to try to replace the pump with a walboro 255. As i have seen on here, they are different and the holder will require modification. However, before I go hacking up the holder, I was wondering what you guys have done on here. Is there a simple way to mounting this new pump in the spot of the old one... or is is going to require quite a bit of modifaction as I saw on Reaper's thread "ressurection of a beast"?

I really do appreciate and advise on this.

i think tu has the pump u need for newer ones.

I had to modify the wires and it came with the wrong install kit but there was no modifying of the housing.

I honestly can't remember what I did when I installed the pump, but I don't remember it being that difficult.

best advise is to use a neon pump (255lph) for the 91+ cars.

But if you need this pump to work, just get yourself a length of 5/16" tube and some 3/8" hose, then some clamps. That's about it. use the hose to hold the pump down against the pickup. The tube is needed to go through the housing's output seal. The rest is a hope and a prayer.
