i came very close to supercharging mine.

But to be honest I'm not going to get into detail because you've had about 100,000 plans for your car (rebuild the 3.0, put in a 3.3, convert said 3.3 to CARB, turbo 3.0, etc) and never do anything about it.

you CAN put the S/C ontop the stock plenum, but it will give you one hell of a heed clearance issue. IMHO the best way would be to fab up a upper manifold to accomidate the S/C and close the hood. Also some form of standalone EMS will be needed (no cals for the 3.0 as of yet) to handle the boost. Bigger injectors and probably a header job come to mind.

The thought of putting a Carburated 3.3 into an Acclaim shows ignorance.

That would definately be cool. 6 individual carbs would be a bitch to tune. you could also do 6 ITB's (individual throttle bodies) this way you can keep efi while getting the flow of individual carbs. You would need some serious top end work to take advantage of a setup like that. I think you'd also want to spin that motor to at least 7000 rpm or make it worth while

i was thinking small 4 barrel
dident rpw make a 6 tb manifold?

putting the carb on isent too hard, if there enough clerance to use the stock plenum and cut out the tb section and just bolt the carb on top, but im wondering how to get the ingition to work, i have a msd box with a magentic pick up input. fule tank isent too much of biggie ,
what i would see a big benifit is the amount of wirring you could get away with removing ,

Hey Big P... some reason why you're being an ass to someone you don't even know for no apparent reason?

Actually. no. I don't ever agree with people that are condescending to others just so they can feel better about themselves. It's fine to have your opinion about things, but your opinion isn't worth more than anyone else's. I'm sure the moderators didn't start this forum so people could sit there and insult other members they feel are inferior. Just like the newb comment. Does it mean anything that I haven't sat on this forum like you have? If it does mean something it's only to you and doesn't exist outside of your mind. I don't care if he changes his mind more than his underwear. I would never presume to put him down for having ideas. By the way, I'm sure you're impressing everyone with your comments. I'm sure we're all thrilled and can't wait for the next insightful remark.

whats the question? do you want to put it on the intake manifold? go for it. cut out the shape on the top half of the intake manifold, have a fabricated aluminum plate welded on and bolt the s/c to it. install a new belt, cut out the hood and tell us how fast it is.
