I've been thinking about nitrous for a while and I'm just curious, how much could a 100% stock 3.0 take safely? I think the biggest limitation would be fuel, like pretty much everything we do with our motors. And how much could it take if it DID have enough fuel, like with an AFPR?

depends on how you inject it.

before the TB you are going to have mixture problems on large sprays.

If you take the pistons out and regap the rings there is probably more room to spray then a pure stock motor would take.

Most I've heard of is a 175HP shot, on a motor ported for it, with about 225-250 N/A HP. Dunno how it was sprayed though, dude had 33lb injectors, but not sure what he had for an interceptor or FMU.

So on a stock motor... who knows, spray it in the plenum and the MAP sensor should go full signal, meaning you should get as much fuel as it's capable of. Might get away with a 50HP shot. Anything more than that and yes, it's definitely into not enough fuel territory. Lower temp thermostat might make it marginally safer (slightly more enrichment and you start frying the motor from a few degrees cooler)
