Thats really not that bad of an estimate. I know the estimate on the huge crack in my windshield was like 400 bucks to replace and thats if I included the glass. I said hell no and I am selling it with the crack. Its on the passenger side in the shape of a parabola towards the top so it doesn't affect visibility but it still sucks

well, made it back to school today (with no more rocks into the windshield! ) and made a GREAT 27.3mph UPHILL to school. The map is well tuned for 70-85mph in 5th now. just gotta get the rest of it ironed out. Also installed my A-Pillar gauges this morning. ill get some pictures up tomorrow. Got everything mounted gague-wise except for the tach (still in the console bottom cubby) and an ammeter im not sure ill put in.

hopefully ill get the widshield replaced tuesday so i can hit the dragstrip weds. and hopefully all goes well at court tomorrow for my "noise violation"

more updates soon i hope!

yeah, its a brand new HJC Snell M2005 rated full helmet. here are some pics:

first time EVER drag racing so I totally SUCK at launching, so i only recorded a best time of 14.9 i was fairly consistent MPH wise, 92mph usually. ETs varied depending on my RT and launch. I dont have my tach mounted in a good spot yet so i cant watch my launch RPMs, its all by ear... i have some wheelhop (not sure why) and i wasnt doing any burnouts on my Cooper All-Season tires (good idea or not?)

as for my runs, heres a breakdown, enjoy
RT---------60'-------ET----------MPH------------outcome
1.099-----2.61-----15.445----92.39-----------lost to a Z3 (13.8), sleeping @ the line

1.178-----2.377----16.836----87.74-----------sleeping again, missed 2nd
-----NO VIDEO-----

.783------2.975-----15.918----92.26-----------lost to a camaro by .8533 secs

.948------2.327-----15.114----92.52-----------lost to a cobalt by .3328 seconds, ALMOST had him...

.832------2.346-----15.066----92.85-----------powned by a pontiac GTP (1.3667 sec)

.817------2.445-----15.196----92.48-----------Ate a ZX3 MTX focus, MMMM :-D (1.2499 sec)

.514------2.494-----15.274----92.60-----------powned the same ZX3 focus again (1.4658 sec)

.554------6.188-----19.373----90.27-----------bog stalled at the line vs a VW GTI (need to lean that part of the map...)

.582------2.359-----15.090----92.50-----------lost to a TURBO SUPRA by only .4674 sec! (he had no traction off the line)

1.050-----2.319-----15.000----92.91-----------lost to a WRX imprezda (not STI) by only .2921 secs

.470------2.392-----15.177----92.42------------lost by .5293 sec to the same VW GTI

.781------2.258-----14.960----92.75------------lost to a different GTP (1.0341 sec)

.716------2.384-----15.256----92.04------------Dakota stalled on launch.

Well on all seasons, some of your passes were pretty good for the trap speed you were putting down. I did n/a best of 14.8@92 with 2.2 60's on all seasons.

I would say you are leaving some power on the table somewhere.

Josh's P body was trapping 95-97mph and I think you guys have similar weather/elevation.
I dyno would probably help you figure out where you are making power and where to keep the RPMS.

Not doing burnouts and going around the waterbox on seasonal radial tires is the proper thing to do so you are good there.
