well, didnt get anything done today as i got stuck at work when my 1977 Puch moped wouldn't run , float was stuck, and i FINALLY got it to work right after disassembling the carb 4 times.

Anyways, i think i finally found a name for my car...."Scheherazade" from the 1001 Arabian Tales. Ive wanted to "behead" the car many times, but she keeps me coming back for more lol

I hopefully will finish painting the engine bay tomorrow and start putting the motor in

Hey Shadow,
I've never had the urge to behead my car but I wouldn't mind chopping the top.
After you assembled the engine, how smoothly did the crank turn?
And forget about putting the M90 on the Puch.

lol, ed, your a goober

the beheading comment was a reference to the origins of "Scheherazade" in 1001 Nights

i can spin the crank fairly easily by hand (its running on assembly lube ATM) and its no harder than when i got the motor originally. i spun it 720* to make sure i didnt have anything mis-aligned with the timing belt and it went fairly easy

i WAS looking at the 70cc bore/stroker kit for the Puch with a tuned muffler and biger carb, but i need that $500-$700 for the car...

i should be ordering rear arm and panhard bar poly bushings and a rear sway bar some time this week to go with finishing the coilover conversion and new KYB Gas-Adjusts in the back. rear squat should be a thing of the past on launches after this

Have you thought about fixing your other car or getting another beater?

Well now we have the Canadian, Conn. & Fla. accented pronunciations. I lean toward the Canadian version.
Just wait 'till she does the dance of the seven clutches.

Maby he should call her Lucy (as in I Love Lucy), 'cause that car gets into more mischief than "Schery" ever did.

Good thinking 'cause you'd never fit that name on the side of a P body. Thats a Grand Caravan sized moniker.

Well, today was a productive day. Got the motor in the car and did the rear bobble strut, PS pump and rear headers before calling it a day to go to a BBQ. The motor went in fairly easily, only took an hour to 1h 45m, My neighbor helped out which probably contributed to the ease of putting it in.

Tomorrow, ill be putting the rest of the parts back on and re-wiring everything, with any luck, ill fire the car up tomorrow!
