Good luck!
Careful with the torque steer now.

I know how scary the ride will be. I did 17 hours with 3 blown ringlands and a spun bearing :P. Not a good experience.
At least I didnt have to be paranoid about the computer functioning.
Pretty awesome that you got the car legal right as your other car got sick.

thanks brent. it was lucky that mine was roadworthy when the other car kicked the bucket. i made it though. 400 miles in 6.5 hours. made it up the 3+ mile hill that ate the other car in 5th gear, never needed to downshift which surprised me. car ran great the whole way, no issues to speak of. (still need to "fine tune" it a bit though) Coolant never broke 205*, oil pressure was good, (55-75 psi for 2500-3000 rpms) AFR at cruse was between 14 and 15.5.... was getting about 26mpg if my calculations were right which isnt half bad for a crappy tune. I need to get a neutral start switch though, mine's being finicky.
as for torquesteer, its going to take some getting used to. any little tipin and it pulls right requiring a little countersteer, let out and you pull left cause of the countersteer *shrug* a peculiarity of the car i guess. it rides nicely though 60 and 85 feel the same ridewise, although the coilover springs are probably too stiff for my liking, kept skipping the CDs.

Hey Shadow,
I put a TruTrac in my '77 Ramcharger (400 eng w/4 speed, full time 4wd) front end and discovered it would pull left on hard accel & pull right when decel. It was very sensitive to front tire pressure differences. If they were equal it would go straight. Check your tire pressure it, can't hurt.

I used to drag race a gutted out 3.0 with automatic...I loved the looks of that car...

why thank you ATaylorRacing. I appreciate the comments. I dont know if im THAT good, i just went ahead and did something. *shrug* took me a while and it was quite the learning process, still is actually, with the tuning and all.
i also like the looks of the car. it looks nice without being overly eyecatching. one reason i wanted to keep mine

Back when I had my 3.0 a track worker at INDY told me they had been some big industrial fork lifts that used a supercharged version of our 3.0s with propane....I always wanted to do something different like that, but $$$ stopped me. He works for a fork lift repair place and said that it would have been super easy to do mine up. I was running 15.05-15.15, weighing in at 2450 lbs and adding my 265 to that....my 155 lb son drove it down the track for his first time ever and it ran 14.97! The mods were gutted cat but stock size pipeing, underdrive pulley kit, home made ram air, flowmaster 2 chamber muffler, and a larger TB....a guy told me how his went even faster by repositioning the throttle positioning sensor by a tiny bit with newly drilled mounting holes so that it would never sense WOT and start killing the timing. I never tried that...did any of you guys?

yup, it is Angelo. Good to see you. I pestered you a few times in 2002.
The computer recalibrates the TPS sensor every time you start up so that sorta ruins messing with the TPS...and looking at the 3.0 calibrations in D-cal....I dont really see any WOT ignition retard....but there are still plenty of tables nobody understands yet.

yeah, the 3.0 has seen many uses in various forms. I am still going to try and go with the M90 supercharger in the near future. I just love the sound this makes in the upper RPMs and with the supercharger and some cams, 7500-8000 rpms is a probability IMO :-D

Reaper1 - what exactly do you mean? i dont follow you......
Although i ripped on it the other day and i think i hit the limiter, tach recall goes to 7200. Im guessing the limiter retard isnt enough or something and it gets to 7200, but hasnt gone further
Ondonti - you close to South Western NY? (alfred NY to be exact, for the next 6 weeks or so)

Im proud of you figuring this out on your own.
Reaper was just talking about stock 12v calibrations which obviously doesnt apply to you and we dont need to talk about that in yoru thread more then we already have. We are just postwhores

thanks brent, hope you get yours going soon. if you need MS help, feel free to ask
turns out MS-II only has 12.7* of retard and its not used as a REAL limiter. guess im switching to a fuel cut limiter....
