I knew my daytona 3.0 wasn't right when I was at the track. I checked the compression and it was low in ever cylinder. I guess 10.1 in the 8th was real good for my half blown up motor. So I guess It is rebuild time. I got a new block and crank so I will use them. I need to get some forged pistons cause I am going to turbo or supercharge it. Just something simple and mild. Nothing insane. I want to supercharge it cause I am already building headers and don't want to make them fit a turbo. I would say 300hp at the motor would be fine. I was wondering what pistons would work the best? I know I read that ondonti posted that everything is pretty good except for the pistons. So they will get replaced with forged ones if necessary. What do you guys think would be best?

forged pistons are great if they fit your budget, plans, goals, etc.
Its very hard to say about 300 on stock pistons (assuming you used MUCH larger ring gaps). The old school full skirt 3.0 pistons have a thicker ringland then the later style mitsu halfskirt pistons.

If you dont do a very good job tuning then stock pistons are definitely something to consider not using...or lower HP goals.

I really thought about building it all motor. I mean I want a supercharger but I would like to build the bottom end to handle one even if I don't boost it. Just in case I put a shot of nitrous on it or something. I have an extra motor I am going to use until I rebuild the motor in it. I just don't want to take a chance with the stock pistons.
I wonder if I could use some better steath sohc pistons? They are exactly the same I think.

better?
the best 12v pistons are the old chrysler pistons if you want stock compression ratio.

I think my replacement motor has the Chrysler pistons so I might be in good shape as far as that goes.
