that looks more like a RRFPR to me. the Megasquirt is a full standalone ECU capable of fuel AND spark control (although with a dizzy, no spark control needed). and for ~300 its a steal. not to mention it is open source, and can do all sorts of things, NOS switches, etc. IMHO it is the way to go, i have one for my 24v swap and will be running the phord EDIS ignition with it.

id recommend the v3 board with the MS-II CPU, this will give you ample tuning points and features.

I have a MS 3.0 V1 and I will be installing it on my '89 3.0 soon. The install should be very simple with our optical dizzy once the A604 is replaced with an A543. The only screwy part is idle control - it can either be very complex or a simple high idle switch. Read : MegaManual Index

I had my old 2.2 turbo 2 running with MS 2.2. I just used the idls screw on the throttle body to set the idle. I found, though, that in the winter the car would idle at like 300 rpm when cold and in the summer it would idle at like 700 rpm when cold

i found when not using my stock regulator it was too hard to get the car started because it wouldent hold fule pressure in the lines and would make the car hard to start

same problem...but when you prime it twice before the initial start, it starts quicker.
