Hi

I just got a 3.3l 92 voyager can that i was wondering if i could put into my daytona which has the engine out right now

the 3.3 engine is in awsome shape and sounds great

or what parts could i use from the 3.3 to make my 3.0l have more hp
if anyone could give me a list of the things i would have to take off(fuel pump, injectors, throttle body?)

thanks for your replied in advance
van will be scrapped tuesday so looking to get the parts fast

they are totally different engines

you can use a 52mm tb off a 3.3L on your 3.0 and thats it.

i know there differnet but you can use parts off the 3.3 for the 3.0.. pulley and stuff

just want to know exactly what i should take off or if anyone has ever put a 3.3l in a 3.0l daytona or any daytona

The two engines are not even in the same family so there is no point in contemplating parts echanges between the two. The 3.3 engine is a pushrod engine made my Chrysler. The 3.0 (6G72) is an overhead cam engine made by Mitsubhishi. That discussion pretty much ends at the throttle body.

Can you put the whole 3.3 in your Daytona? More than likely yes. You would just need to swap the electronics, accessories, and brackets along with it along with a trans that fits the 3.3 (you can't bolt the A543 to the 3.3 and the autos have different bell housings so you'll need one specific to the 3.3). There are probably some other minor issues but I would expect it to be failry straight forward because some of the cars and vans came in both the 3.0 and 3.3 configurations. The only gotcha that jumps out in my head is that the motor/trans mount brackets may be different between the cars and vans ...maybe someone else can speak to this. In any case, this should be easier than many of the other swaps that have been proposed and undertaken in this forum.

There is one 5-sp that might bolt to 3.3L... It is even more rare than a 568 for a T3...

As for the "old push rod"... I have said it before, do not underestimate the capability of a push rod engine... For most street cars, a push-rod engine can spin more than fast enough... Remember the Viper V10 is a push-rod engine as is the V8 in the Corvette...

Overhead cams are advantageous when you go to 4-valve.
