keep in mind il have a set of headers too

Rear exit would be street legal in more states but I don't know if that's a concern in newfoundland.

Have you looked into a supertrapp? They're used in cars, atvs and motorcycles to control the backpressure on an exhaust system, as crazy as that sounds you can actually move the power band this way. Reason I bring it up, is so if 3" proves too big you could dial it down for road trips or whatever.

Ill let you know I bought 3" catback with a magnaflow high flow cat and magnaflow muffler last week ish. Waiting on it. Once i get it on i can let you know. On my v6 daytona es i had 3" catback and it had a nice pickup in power but it was tooo drone on the inside of the car. It didnt really sound bad just too uncomfortably loud. Hopefully with a high flow cat and better muffler it will be better. If not then ill get a resonator.

3" on my spirit. I dont know if it really makes a difference between 2.5 and 3" for drone.

I will tell you that if I remove the rear seat from the spirit, the drone gets annoying. Daytonas dont have a separation between hatch/trunk area and passenger compartment but Spirits/Acclaims do so that helps.

i have 3" and i noticed absolutely no difference between that and 2.5" as far as drone goes, 3" has more kick to it above 3500 rpm
