What is the lift and duration of the cams you guys you had reground? How much and who is doing them? I think this is going to be our next move if we can get more info on it.

Intake- Duration: 264* Lift: .390
Exhaust- Duration: 264* Lift: .390

These are based on a 1.5 rocker ratio(I think it has since been determined that it is actually 1.6)

Intake: opens- -1 ATDC closes- 31 ABDC
Exhaust: opens- 39 BBDC closes- -9 BTDC

Lobe separation: 110*

Duration @ .050" valve lift: intake- 210* exhaust-210*
Lobe lift: intake- .260 exhaust- .260

Cams need to be installed at 106* if using lobe center method

What difference was noticed w/ these cams?
How are they installed @ 106 using lobe center method?

Cam gears.

Those cams are from a 250+hp RPW 12valve 6g72 that now belongs to reaper1

You can just change the opening and closing times if you dont want cam gears. RPW suggests cam gears with their big cams to tune the cam into the powerband that you want.

the cam gears. Parts from the motor sourced from them. I dont know if they actually did the headwork etc.

Reaper1 seems to avoid all these threads or talking about the car. Hard to say if he even knows the info.

I always thought the car had rpw cams but I think they are just crower regrinds.

The cam gears are from RPW. The cams were reground by Crower. The heads were ported by Engine Systems Inc. in CA. I beleive they *may* have been later redone by Tachyon Racing Heads in Jacksonville later, but I'm not 100% on that.

I hope that helps....

BTW, people can PM me(my box is REALLY full though)...or e-mail me!! Just label the e-mails as being something TD related.

Ok i dont know so im going to ask. What is the benifit of the cam gears? Hopefully my miss spelling isnt to bad cause i dont have a little captin in me i have A LOT of captin in me(captin morgan spiced rum). Anyway how much does this stuff cost cam gears, cams reground my father that knows all so he is working on the port job on the heads. I saw the spec sheet for the cams that was pasted to one of the other post is there a person specific we would need to inquire to or just contact the company. You have to sent them cores correct. i have never done anything custom on the internals before as far as the pistons go who and how much for some forged pistons and what are some of the specs you guys used? The rods are already forged correct? Im going to try to work on my own headers this year. if anyone has any ideas shoot them to me. or anything else someone needs fabricated. HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE
