those stock ones must be brand new... when i took the one outa my car there was barely a center to measure off of... idk if the metal one would be better cuz i never had poly to base it off of lol but for some reason im just partial to having metal parts... specailly when they are a wear item

I bought a motor from him for $350 back in 2002. It was supposed to be in excellent shape, and have about 40k miles on it. One cylinder wall was scored, and the heads were warped.

I did get a good chunk of my money back after I bitched.

Fidanza and B&M both make short throw shifters, you can purchase them at Welcome to FWD Performance, Inc. but its really just a lighter aluminum rod with the top cut off about a 1" or so. I bought a used Fidanza shifter and like it, but its no "true" short throw shifter.

If you want more info on making a true one then go here: Short Throw Shifter? , it cost a lil bit unless you wanna try doing this but I'm sure it is alot better than the Fidanza/B&M shifters. I bet its still nothing like the STS I played with on a 2nd gen turbo MR2, the dang shifter knob was barely above the console and about 2 - 2.5" throw from gear to gear!

Just an update, I was putting my orignal shift back in tonight and installing the other derlin shifter bushing when I took notice that the I.D of the bushings where different, so of the 3 small bushings all the O.D's where good while only 1 had the correct I.D, way to go cheetah online, should be cheateronline, Only my luck of not listening to others! Just another fair warning for others thinking about buying from Pauls site.

On another note I'm gonna be selling my fidanza STS soon.

The fidanza sucks. Ive had one for a while now...and its just a lightened stock with the top cut shorter like rogue said. However i took my fidanza and my assembly and did what Jackson does with his. My throw is insanely short now. I need to measure it.
