I found this thread from a routine google search on my name.

Richard, let me say I am very sorry for how this went down. I'm not going to give you much in the way of excuses as there is no good excuse for the delay in your order.

Primarily, as a result of this situation I have strongly reevaluated our relationship in dealing with RPW and their products. Albeit your order was a non standard order that we would normally place with them (which could be why you got the 24v cam gears instead).

For instance, RPW said your cam gears would ship out last week, and yet I'm still sitting here getting absolutely no communication from them after riding them every single day last week specifically about your order.

Regardless, we are held responsible for your order since you ordered them through us, so I'm doing my best to work this out for you, I appreciate your patience especially after getting in contact with me directly.

First off, I would like to apologize for venting on Russ and Bobbi. I hate libel against a company who is trying to make a business succeed and a mishap turns up in a forum. That is unprofessional on my part. I have been upset with some communication in the past but we are past that. Nobody is perfect. I don't know what your business relationship is like with RPW but I hope that you can it improves. As a business student, I recognize that there may be a symptom of miscommunication and the problem needs to be figured out to retain current customers and potentially gain new ones. I would like to conduct future business with your company if the need arises. I don't hold anything against your staff Russ or you Bobbi.

As far as the e-mail,
I got it, and honestly it's been a while since I've posted or even checked TD. I do appreciate the tracking number and I am very anxious to get my built block in w/ the heads, cams, and gears. I'm also going to modify my plenum to make my 1" spacers work and install my ported upper lower manifold to boot. If I can squeeze 200whp out of my N/A motor, I'll be pleased to say the least and a milestone long past due. Then I plan to use my new Credit card for the final turbo equiptment and finally have my 300hp daily driver duster. Bobbi and Russ, I'll e-mail you via yahoo. Thanks again for all your work.

Well, the best news since sliced bread has arrived. My correct cam gears are here! Which means within a matter of months, I will have my new motor in and hopefully broken in-awaiting the turbo. It's been a long haul so far and this is the big stretch. I verified the tooth count tonight and all looks well. Thanks to those at Tearstone and RPW for their assistance in my situation and apologies for any libel I may have made. I will keep everyone informed of my progress.

The cam gears are fun....make sure you dont let them slip. I would say RPW is very wrong when they told me there was no torque spec for those bolts. I went as tight as I felt comfortable but didnt use a torque wrench.

On my big cams I am trying on 106 degrees now since the rear cam slipped @ 102. Since Im suffering boost creep with the cam gears and intake manifold I dont think I will advance it any farther unless I get the creep under control. More advance should just spool sooner.
Cam gears are of course no fun with stock tiny 3.0 cams.......unless maybe you retard the tiny stock cams

The cam bolts on the 24v go on with 65 +/- 7 ft-lbs of force. It should be along the same lines of what the 12v cam gears would use too.

Can those little bolts take 65 ft/lb? I would be afraid of stripping the bolt or gear. RPW just said "we dont have a torque spec" when I talked to them on MSN which ended in me having a gear slip.
