awesome, get those suckers cut up and installed asap, then let us know your results!!

I never heard of any results from the other guy that modded his GP headers.

Edit, I wonder if these work if we could contact the company making those and have them modify a set for our engine and start selling them off fleabay. I'd look into a set.

Don't forget about the fan and radiator... What size are the primary tubes? How long are they?

Dont know what ed thinks but I would suggest making sure there is a lip from the end of the flange to the exhaust port...which probably means not inserting the primary tubes all the way into the flange and cutting away at the flange near the port (never touch the exhaust port exit!)

If you can use some of the tube to "raise" the floor of the port, that should improve flow. Make sure that the top of the tube is even with the top of the port. The exhaust port exit it too big to maintain decent velocity.

I have been contemplating making another set of headers to test. Right now I am debating using 1-3/8" or 1.25" primary pipe. 1-3/8" may be a little large, but it would make fabrication easier... (several equations and simulation programs indicate that the ideal diameter would be closer to 1.108") The other option is to try and "stretch" the 1.25" pipe slightly bigger at the header flange.

Primary tube length would be ~30+"... The goal being to improve power in the 3500-6K RPM band. The engine currently makes peak hp at 5200 RPM.

All these dimensions have been tuned to the dyne results I have with some speculation at how much truly functional headers might have.

erm........far as I know you need a lip to help prevent reversion...especially if velocity is already so bad.

How are you going to make those tiny primaries without huge stepdowns?

the guy who made the set on the google group said it pulled better on top end, and he never noticed any diffrence off the line,
that was on a pretty much bone stock 3.0

any idea what size the primarys are on the obx stealth headers??
