Dibs on the 58mm
As for the mods, if going into the tranny, pick up a Fidanza Lightweight Flywheel.
From there you can pull the A/C out if you don't care for it or busted like mine was, good for an extra 2mpg and a couple horses.
Intake spacers but KMPerformance aren't doing any at the moment, I may try cheetahonline.com although others report problems.
Solid motor mounts and solid bubble strut from Welcome to Poly Bushings.com
Other things can be
10.0:1 pistons and camshafts from a 1990-1993 diamante
Ported and Polish heads from KMPerformance.com
Port the Intake plenum there is a link I place that showed ntrain2k's porting job EDIT: look here for link
14-15BTDC timing (need higher octane at 15BTDC)
OBX or Quaife Limited Slip Differential (power plus no traction sucks on peg leg systems!)
Derlin shifter bushings ( Cheetahonline Custom Automotive Performance Products) or poly shifter bushings ( Welcome to FWD Performance, Inc. / Turbos Unleashed |:..:| Shelby Dodge & Chrysler turbos, intercoolers, headers, parts and accessories )

I ran 87 octane on 15* advance no problem, so you will be fine by advancing the timing a few degrees. Take off the upper intake plenum and seperate the two halves. Remove the big wall in the middle of it and smooth it all out. Get a throttle body off a 3.3L and it bolts right on. I stuck a $20 cone filter right on the end of the throttle body and it worked well, better than the stock airbox at least. Gut the stock cat and run 2 1/4" mandrel bend exhaust all the way back with a muffler of your choice. Or run 2.5" all the way back.
And since you are putting a new clutch in it you should get a T2/T3 clutch from ********************, and if you have the $ for an aluminum flywheel get that too. Differential pin retainers might be a good idea too, they are only $4 a piece from the dealer and you need two. With those mods your 3.0 will rev like a bastard. Solid motor mounts are a great upgrade too. Then if you want to go into the motor and rebuild it 10:1 pistons, custom grind cams, ported heads, ported exhaust manifolds etc.
With some of those same mods minus the fidanza flywheel I was burning the tires into second and chirping third on the stock long block. I'm expecting more from my 10:1 motor when I drop it in

Was that 60mm specific?......or...a 58mm from the 3.8 engine off of a Town & Country or Grand Caravan?.....This is a 58mm on my engine. It's a direct bolt on, one has to do some porting work on the inside of the manifold flange to get the needed swing clearance for the throttle blade as well as better airflow in general (I made a template with a 60mm opening in it and bolted it to the manifold flange & went to work). The only item I transfered to this body was the TPS sensor from the 46mm body (just to line up the harness plug)

Yep, its a 60mm from a Jeep 4.0L High Output Engine from cherokee/wrangler vehicles
And looking at a conversion chart, 60mm Still is not very big of a TB
46mm = 1.81239 inches
52mm = 2.0488 inches
58mm = 2.2851999999999996 inches
60mm = 2.364 inches
So looking at that, even a 2.5" CAI isn't going to big. I was looking at a 3" setup but it looks like a waste of time now.
