Yes I have MSD cables. They are really great wires. Unlike both Magnecore and Accel, I have never once, had any kind of problem with MSD ignition wires.
Smart of you, to follow MSD's lead, by buying the same kind of connectors they use.
Stupid of you, to make unfair comparisons and misleading statements, just to sell your stuff.
You don't know, whether or not you guys even offer a no pull-off guarantee, like MSD does.
I must say that your distortions "factoids" and negative spin, far from gaining my confidence, have only made me suspicious of FireCore50's business practices. How can I trust anything else you have said? How can I have confidence in your product? The short is this. I can't now. You guys are just plain sleazy in my eyes.

Brent are you starting to fall for Firecore's advertising hype too? Or are you just being a '20 something' kid trying "pwn" people?
Yeah. I know. I posted that link here earlier today you moron.
"In fact, we feel so strongly about our Dual Crimp terminals that every factory crimped plug wire is guaranteed not to "pull off" for FIVE years!"
Yeah. A 5 year guarantee they wont pull off. Wow. That sucks.

I think you missed the jokes. That was making fun of a certain someone in this thread who is not you.
Firecore guy claimed he couldnt find the warranty information and it took me all of 1 click from the page he posted to find the info. etc etc etc.
The joke was that from the replies firecore made about MSD "not having a warranty like that"...I really doubt there is a 5 year anything on the firecores
We both know that your question is an easy yes/no question and has nothing to do with whether or not someone else has a warranty.
I feel the same as I ever did. That performance ignition wires will all basically give the exact same performance so buy the one you trust. I believe Magnacores by far use the best wire. I also know for a fact that their connectors are not very good. Thats why I have often had to tighten them with pliers. Even stock wires have clips on the end.
Ive got new magnacors on my spirit and I will keep my old ones on the duster as long as it requires constant spark plug changing etc etc because I dont want to beat on my nice new wires.

OK. Apologies. I thought you were on me again. These Firecore guys, have been going to every car forum they can find, whether they have been talked about or not. It is Firecore advertising blitz month apparently.
By the way. Firecore manufactures nothing. All they do is assemble wires sets from purchased components. They don't make wire or anything else, and they have pioneered nothing, invented nothing, patented nothing.
Firecore50 talks about that, in this thread here, on the Yellow Bullet forum. They even posted pictures of their assembly room.

You Firecore guys, would be doing yourselves a HUGE favor, by going positive instead of negative.
I suggest the following.
1. Don't trash other people's products. That invokes brand loyalty resistance, and it gets stronger the more you fight it.
2. Stay positive. Make it about your product not the competition's. Most people HATE negative sell.
3.Be scrupulously honest and up front.
4. Tell people that you have gathered, the best of the best components, and you have painstakingly assembled them with love and care.
5. Your small size is an advantage. You can be more flexible than a big company can, and so use that. Offer what others can't or wont.
Try something like this for an advert format.
Want plug wires with the great crimp connectors used by MSD and the high quality insulation jackets of Magnecore, with tough heat resistant boots like 'insert your favorite here' wires sets, and the strongest lowest resistance wire available today, all in the OEM look of black? That is exactly what Firecore50 has made for you! We have assembled the best parts, from the very same suppliers used by the major wire makers, all into one terrific ignition wire set. Get it all, with Firecore50, .... and get it on! .... vroom vroom etc.
(the above trademarked by me)
Do these things and you will kick ass. Stay your present course and maybe get by.

hmm, i just had an idea.... maybe i can get some 90* connectors and replace the end connectors on my magnacores... yay for figuring out stuff AFTER buying $100 wires lol.
anyways, only had one problem with those magnacores, was the rubber seal/boot thing on the bottom of the sparkplug boot came off and stayed on the sparkplug IN the head. aside from that, i liked those wires, fit well, seemed to be a decent wire.
anyone hear about the conductor breaking apart in the wire on the magnacores? either way, its better than the 6.5mm or 7mm thin wires that were OEM...

The connectors Magnecore uses are infamous for welding onto the plug somehow, and the same thing happened on a set I had. I was warned about that and bought them anyway.

its not that the connector welded on the plug, its that a little boot on the end plastic sleeve came off and was stuck around the ceramic insulator on the spark plug. couldnt get a socket on it and had to try ang pull it off with really long needlenose pliers. took me a couple hours, but i got the stuck ones out. took those little boots off and didnt have a problem afterwards.
also didnt really run those wires long, had to go DIS so the connectors were wrong for the coilpacks

Bummer. Glad I didn't have that problem too. My sympathies. I guess the plug wells get hotter on those DOHC 24 valve jobs. It must have a been a real pita removing all of them. Not a good move, on Magnecore's part, putting a plastic sleeve inside their plug boots that can heat shrink onto the plug terminal.

it is a hard plastic sleeve with the wire inside, the cap at the top seals the spark plug tube and they have a rubber seal boot or something to seal around the plug. i dont think the plastic would melt at operating temps, but *shrug* it could, the other thing is they could have been arching from the connector to the plug causing them to get stuck, but thats pure speculation on my part as it didnt happen to me. removing the bottom piece that came off was a TOTAL PITA.
btw lookin, where did you find those MSD wires? the 2nd one in from the right is pretty much the boot thats on the OEM type Magnecore wires. i couldnt find anything on MSD's site or summit for the in-head wires...

Hi Shadow
Here is the Summit page for all the MSD Mitsubishi wires. I don't know for sure what you want. So look through the choices. Good hunting.

yes and no, the wire sets there would fit in the head, but the other connections are wrong. if i was using the stock dizzy they would work, but since i had to go to DIS, i need the GM HEI 90* connectors. the stock-like connectors are a cup like receiver on the dizzy, not a post. *shrug* im thinking i may have to ask magnecore to custom make a set or something, i dont know if MSD would do something like that
i can get a picture when i get home tonight of what i mean

That's right. I forgot. I know what you mean. You need a custom set.
What make model year engine?
I can probably find you a set of, crimp your own DIS HEI MSD wires, with the right plug boots. I got that crazy Summit catalog down pretty tight now.

I found them!
Here is Summit's listing of HEI terminal ends.
Spark Plug Wire Components - summitracing.com
You may be able to use that MSD set, with the right plug well boots, and then cut the wires and change them to HEI DIS connectors, by using a set of connectors listed on that page.
I think that will be a lot cheaper, than ordering a custom set, and you will have it totally the way you want it.
Hope that helps.
