Hey guys I just bought a beauty of a 1991 Daytona ES w/3.0 AT and I'm wanting to mod the hell out of the drivetrain... End result is that I want THIS car to pull 12.5 to 12-flat in the quarter mile. I think I'm looking for around 400hp-ish to do this. Oh yeah, and I want to do as much myself as I can.

I'm researching different options to get it that kind of power, and I'm liking what you guys are doing with the 3.0L... not sure of you're quarter times that I'm hearing though.:(

I want to cover all options for getting power into this car. I haven't by any means ruled out a RWD conversion, TD 4cyl swap, or something crazier. Ironically money and time are for once on my side.

Frankly I'm just getting really confused as to alot of the terms and numbers you're throwing around, and don't want to waste time with a lot of dumb questions. Are there some books or manuals out there on some more of the general "how do I (turbo/supercharge) my car" line?

A. Graham Bell "Forced induction performance tuning". Get his 4 stroke book too.
I think amazon might offer a deal when you buy both.

Not as good but still useful is Corky bell's "Maximum boost"

They wont answer all your questions, especially how to get extra fuel for your specific car, but you will know what questions to ask and what direction to go.

I was running 13.3's last friday with my slipping clutch. Not very happy about that.

Awesome, thanks for the quick reply. Really love you're work (been researching/lurking) awhile, even if I can't follow all of what you guys are doing yet.
