So I tore down another Diamante motor and I grabbed the front exhaust manifold because it looked like it could work.
I pulled the front head off and got the rear head ready to pull off about a month ago. I saw they were getting ready to crush that row so I hurried up and had them lift the motor out for me. I got the back head off after the motor was on the ground, then I pulled the oil pan and popped the main bearing cap off. Then the pistons/rods came out and I left the naked block on the ground. Somebody made it easier for me by dropping the trans so all I had to do was unbolt the motor mounts and I was able to have the motor lifted right out.

Anyway, what do you think about this exhaust manifold? It looks like it could fit the rear bank pretty well. I haven't looked at my car since I got this so I don't know how it will line up with things like the exhaust tunnel and shifter cables, but if it's close maybe I could think something up. It wouldn't work on the front bank with the radiator so close.

Our stock rear manifold is great compared to that. Its the front that you want to fix.

does this just bolt up? or do you have to lop off the flange and weld on the correct one?
