Call up Clutch-Net and get one of their 4 puck ceramic clutch disks and a modified pressure plate. I just loved mine in the old Lebaron. I know it's a heavier car. But it had really good street manners with the ability to hold what ever I threw at it.

so far i have the old trans out and the new one almost ready to go in just waiting on the clutch pressure plate and T/O bearing. going stock for now unless i find a killer deal on a performance set up. ball joint is done, so i say im about half way there point of no return.

what are you looking for when you want good? almost all performances clutches for our application are the same because they all use the same stock modified pressure plates and then race discs.

Ondonti - I asked you because I bought a Clutchnet set-up (red pp, yellow disc) for the cost of a 'normal' set-up. I never hear clutchnet talked about around here and was worried I got something that wouldn't hold up. If you or anyone you know had good luck with them, I'd be happy to know that. - Thanks

I'm the one that originally started using Clutch-Net products, when most of the 3.0L crowd was using those unhealthy Euro-Drive units. I had great results with my 4 puck unit in my old Lebaron. Not one issue compared to the ED products of similar build. (separated hub units, thrown pucks, or sprung springs from center hub carrier) I recommended the 3 puck to Brent. I'll let him repeat his results again. But if you search the archives, I and he have mentioned them repeatedly.

I say you can't go wrong with their products. And they stand behind their work too.

I damaged my clutch setup but it was a transmission/cable problem and not the clutches fault. It really sucked.

I smoked the new 3 puck clutch on my first burnout. I think the valeo pressure plates that clutchnet uses are garbage. I wont have time to complain to them until the end of the month when I get back in town.

I ran the Euro-drive for circa 25k and 3 years with no mechanical problems. In fact it is still in the car with about 50% material left now. But I'll be going with either the clutch-net unit or a T2/3 setup. The Euro-drive is hell to drive on the street, it is essentially an on-off switch.

i have one i cant find the specs it gives the them for the PP to the fly wheel but not teh fly wheel to motor. i put tons of thread locker on it and put them tight with a standard length 1/2 drive ratchet. Not killer tight but they aren't moving without the engine turning over. i am more concerned with the bolts loosening off and bad things happening. they are loose enough that nothing is going to crack but tight so they arent moving. for the PP to the flywheel i believe its 21 ft. lbs.

new problem tho: on old trani the arm that connects to the clutch cable and goes into the trans to move the T/O bearing, is loose like flops around and on the trans im putting in it is killer to try and move how to i loosen this up im using silicone grease and working it aroudn and its working a little any other ideas?

thanks phil

You had to pull the E-clips and remove it to replace the TO bearing. Right? Did it come out easy?
