6G72 3.0L SOHC - 1/2" 1018 CRS - Laser Cut 3000GT
$29.99

One problem with putting the fancy logo's on is that you need to cut the metal between each cylinder so the flange has room to expand.

OMG ... .... Don't let Brent bother you. He just likes to take a crap on people,
if he thinks he can. Kids. What ya gonna do?

While I fail to see the value in laser etched logos, that no one will ever see, it may
indicate overall attention to exceptional build quality.

They do look really well made. What's the material?

.

Are those port matched to 6G72 heads? If they are, then I think you have something
there.

No one is knocking the quality. That flange is really thick though and you must cut it into 3 pieces for expansion. They could easily be cut in the middle close to the middle runner and retain the designs.

I don't know if he knew about those cheap flanges. I do not know anyone personally who has used them so they may be horrible.

I know I'm using the ones that Brent posted up for my custom rear turbo manifold. I just can't say enough about those Racing Solution flanges. If these new flanges are thicker, RS might have some decent competition.

What is the hole diameter? Also what is the thickness of the flange?

Just a note of interest that has no bearing on anything...I still have a set of some of the very first header flanges that were cut for the 3.0and done as a group by in my posession! As Brent pointed out, they are cut for expansion purposes IIRC(I just went loking for them in my newly reorganized parts room...I couldn't find them! LOL They might be in my shed)

I've got one of the sets done with no cuts, I THINK that was the first batch that got done, maybe by Cheetah back around '98ish? LOL it's been so long that I've forgotten where they came from. They are mild steel, but nice and thick. I tacked some 3in long tubes to them to start my Spirit header project, but never got further than that. One of these days, I'll get around to them....yeah sure!
