So the update is that i bought a used engine with 107,000 miles on it for $200 and when i got home i saw that it was a little different. The plenum had another thing attached at the bottom of the inlet with a metal pipe coming from the exhaust, the wirering harness was different for the fuel injectors so i had to use the old one. The engine braket where all the pullys go is was different this one comes in two peases the one that attaches to the block and the one the attaches to the motor mount. So i had to switch the plenum, fuel injectors wiriring harness, rear exhaust manifold, engine brakekt and all the pullys, oh yah this engine also came with a different crankshaft pully. it was lighter than the one i had.

I hope i can get the yunk motor in the can by sunday....

i ran out of room so i cant post any more pictures i tryed becoming a level 2 contributer but aparently it wont except my credit card i have to do something with pay-pal.

you have to change the peice behind the cam gear the acts as the alt. bracket from the old motor and everything else i think will be fine. when it happend to me i got the hole motor and belt setup and it has one less pulley so i just used the setup didn't change it

you may want to leave it or change it just my .02

I spent all day trying to get the motor in the daytona but it was a pain in the ass, the tranny started licking fluid from the axels i broke the power stirring pully scratched the shit out of the paint. Then finaly got the engine and trans to connect but now the botton of the trans and motor wont come together only the top part..

this is frustrating..i just wanna have a towtruck come and take it to the junkyard.

im just wasting my time and money with this car. GRRRRRRRRRRR

Having an extra person really helps a lot. Just need someone to help guide it. Imagine tryng to put an engine/trans in another fwd car like, some newer GMs. Now that would really suck. At least the 3.0 is a lot easier to work with than most vehicles. Hang in there; you'll be satisfied when it's done.
