no hiding that the piston got melted.. its not chipped or jagged.. its nice and smooth and kinda moooshed in
i agree with the knock sensor and would love to do it. that being said, the pre ignition probably happened for a few reasons
13:1afr for a moment while in boost (8-11psi?)
more timing that i had been running (4degreese ave across the map)
high egt from crap rear manifold
13:1 afr came from me doing a pull in 5th.. i overboosted earlier than normal and got to an untuned part of the map. this is fixed with EWG so i can fine tune 8psi and never go over unless i want to. I changed the timing back to what it was, my name isnt Brent :P Rear manifold is replaced so EGT will be down a bit i would assume.
knock detection is on the list though.
