LMAO!! you wont believe this! I ordered it from Ebay. it was to be a reproduction of a ford mustang scoop from the 60's. BUT it turned out to be a glue on!!!man was i mad as hell!!! I paid $90 for that thing! But I had to work with what i had. so I cut the to blank out of the front of the scoop and used fiber glass over it and inside it till it was strong. I then sanded the mounting flange till it fit the hood smoothly and fiberglassed bolts into it for mounting.so i guess a glue on can be good........but it took a hell of a lot of work!!!!LOL

So... you had a $90 template in essence? Man I would be seeing red for a bit, lol! Good thing you do fab-ups by trade!

Here's a shot of her just after I got her.

Tried eye lids for a bit.

Custom grille I made.

There's my filter sittin in the scoop.

8k HID's were super nice. A ballast burned out though, so now I'm back to stock.

Thought I'd add some more pics. Not much progress has been made. We are working on our house we just bought. I also have head gaskets to do along with mounts, radiator and brakes. hoping to have it all back in good running order in a couple weeks.

Got my mildy ported diamante heads on, solid mounts are installed, new radiator. She's up and running like a top again. Now that I put the heads on my intake is obnoxious and my exhaust sounds way better. Seems to have a stronger pull from about 3500 to 5800, doesn't seem to trail off around 5200 like it used to.

Cool car. Love the mesh rims with chrome lip. I want a set of those!
Any plans of hitting the track to see what she will do?

I've been toying with it. Probably will once I get it all done. Turbo, repaint, gfx, so probably next year as my house is taking up my time right now.

So she's going in to the shop this weekend to have the trans rebuilt again after the torque converter fried and took the clutches with it.

Once I get it back I'm going to be swapping the bumpers and doing jambs so it's ready to spray.

Woah! You could buy a manual trans parts car and 4 or 5 spare A543's for that!

Ya, usually she's pretty good about stuff, but swapping to a stick was not an option in her eyes.

Whatev, when I blow the trans up again I'll say told ya so and do it then.
