plenum SWAP (NOT flip)

I would like to swap my plenum for one that dosent have an egr, because the egr plenum has an extra protrusion that sticks down farther than the non egr does. My egr is already deleted, however the vacuum routing is different on the two plenums...


Here is a picture of my egr plenum compared to the non egr plenum, the vacuum fitting on the top of the egr is what is confusing me, i cant figure out what it is used for.
It appears to just "t" into the vacuum line that goes to the charcoal canister. (ignore the clear vacuum line and the loop that it connects to, that is for my vacuum gauge)










Also there is an extra vacuum line off the back of the non egr plenum that appears to be used by the emissions system, i think it is just a different design than my emissions system.
They are both the same year, however my car is an auto.

the 2 vac lines on the third pic are for the MAP sensor and the fuel pressure reg. the others are just fine. just swap the non EGR over and run the lines the same as before except for the line going to the EGR.

sorry i should have put this lol, the first and third pick are of my car, the second and forth are of the non egr car.
i mostly need to know what that vacuum line off the top of the throttle body is for, i don't really understand why it would be there on the manual and not the auto, i have seen it on many pics here and it was on the original intake that came with the engine that i put in this car, i put my egr intake and exhaust manifolds on this engine when i put it in.

Did it on mine. Like knightmoves said just run everything back where it came from, may require swapping the vacuum hookup on the back.

I will also suggest leaving the egr solenoid plugged in unless you don't mind a cel all the time.

all of the egr system is removed, and no check engine light, i removed the system when the car was getting 8mpg, turns out the whole system still worked great. and ok i will just swap the the intakes and hook the extra line up as it was on the original car.

If you want to delete and seal the EGR port on your existing manifold, I can do that for an extra $10 while I am porting the manifold.

ok cool. i just realized that you are in the next state down... i thought you where in Calli or something lol. i might have to come see your car next time i go to Wisconsin if i don't take the fairy across.


and 6g72 acclaim, did you take off the egr valve and block it off?or just disconnect it? we have a stack of block off plates for the egr valves, we block them off on almost all of our td period dodges(cause they all go bad lol).

I completely removed it. I capped the manifold and swapped to a non egr plenum.

Once I snagged a solenoid and plugged it in the cel went away???

same on both the engines i had a 89 and a 92
