The forged parts would only really be for longevity then. Is there anyway around the fueling issues that Ondontii had?

I don't remember what his setup was at that point, but a good in-tank pump, larger fuel lines, modified fuel rails (switching to the mitsu 12v intake / injector setup makes this easier with more options) and a good AFPR would probably keep fueling issues at bay.

You guys also have to remember with ondonti (aka Brent) he loved to over boost the day lights out of the factory ECU and fuel system. the forged build he did he bent the crank due to a bad tune. he brakes more than he builds and hasn't raced his car in I think 3 years!

How did he bend the crank? Even with a forged crank?

the 12v has a cast crank. his motor had forged pistons only.

the 24v SOHC has a forged crank but won't interchange easily with the 12v due to timing belt and accessory drive differences

I still have the how to you pm'ed me a long long time ago in 2010 ( you probably don't remember lol) on how to cheaply boost these engines. As soon as I get a 96 Caravan 3.0 engine from the yard when I have the finances it is on! You are living proof one does not need Megasquirt or even a Piggy back to have fun at those boost levels.

Beating people is going to be spending more on the car than the engine really though. The 3.0 with a small turbo and mild boost is going to make plenty of power. But you should be looking hard at the rest of the car to use it. A 5 speed swap might be the first big mod, even before boost lol. My PT is near 300 HP but the new 604 isn't really the same trans lol. Just keep in mind the car may seem fine with getting power down now, but will become useless with enough boost pretty quickly without help.

Yes sir! I'm planning on fixing the whole car up. Honestly its not getting more than the basic bolt ons until its gets the manual trans and the interior and exterior and clean and fixed up. And the suspension and brakes and everything else. Oh suspension techniques makes lowering springs for j body! Just thought I would make that known. Oh and Ijust turned 18 today. At 12 A.M. haha.

18 isn't any fun really, got to hit 21 lol.

Check out the stage 1 thread in the FAQ too BTW, good info on the chassis. Got a SRT stage 1 in there too, 3.0 guys have been slacking though and haven't wrote a good stage 1 3.0 post yet

Happy birthday man, voting will be fun when there is actually someone worth voting for, not just the same idiot with 2 different names. (Sorry for the politics!)

Its good to see the next generation still appreciates TDs. I bought my daytona from a 16 year old (technically his dad owned it) who wanted to buy a fox body like all his friends. I occasionally text him pictures of the mods I've done to the car, the new motor I've built, the interior I painstakingly painted, and now he wants it back and offered to buy it back. No way José.
