Is there much reason to worry about the metal intake? I know K&N says they use composite because it resists heat but it is also probably cheaper to make so more profit. I think I read that the AMX intake was cool to the touch after much driving in 80 degree weather so I think I know the answer to my own question.

I think my mind is made up. I'll be ordering one. I'll email you. Saw someone talking about Green Filters http://www.greenfilterusa.com/why.asp , they offer a drop in also. Any experience with them or should I stick with K&N?
