I have a 06 PT Cruiser Convertible. One day my car was ideling slugish and it started overheating and AC wouldn't get cold. Replaced thermostat, car does not overheat now but still runs slugish and AC only works while accelerating, then turns to warm air while ideling and ideling starts to act slugish at lights like from running smooth to vibrating roughly then back to smooth. Also this just started a week after that, but one mourning I just started it and was driving and made a turn and heard grinding noise from I believe the power steering, only heard it when turning. but stopped about 10 min later and check power stering fluid and it was full. Are all these problems connected? and what is wrong?

Welcome.
Open the hood. Start the car, and turn on A/C. I'll bet the fan doesn't come on, and it should, that's your problem.
Power steering could be the belt, or the pump itself. No connection to A/C.

Numerous owners reported the steering rack needed replacing. Sounds like your might need lubrication if the sound went away when warmed up. Check your fluid level. Agree that it's probably you fan motor burn out. Classic systems because it cools down when moving as the air is forced threw the radiator and condenser when your moving. No air when your sitting at idle so the fan should keep it cool.

I rebuilt the fan motor on my 2005, it lost the high speed brushes. It was not tough to do and you avoid the need to buy the Chinese aftermarket motor.
