Thumbs up OMG. Can somebody please make glass channel seals for us!

WOW. I believe finding decent window glass channel seals for our cars is totally stressful! Even if a set of channel seals from a donor car is found in decent shape, it doesn't matter. Eventually those channel seals will be garbage in time due to there age. 20+ yrs old..
Is there anybody out there who can somehow produce window glass channel seals for our cars?? whoever makes them will have at least 5200 customers under there belt

Can we ask somebody to make us some and do a group buy??
Who can we run to with this idea??
Any interest???

Re: OMG. Can somebody please make glass channel seals for us!

Omnipotent is slowly working on all the window scrapers & seals for our cars, but he's a small operation, and there just isn't enough demand to justify a lot of these parts. It still comes down to dollars and cents. I looked into beltline weather stripping for 2 door L-body's. I found a place that would reproduce them, but there was $2500.00 for the tooling, plus minimum first order was 1000 pieces. As much as we would like to believe the demand is there, it just isn't. 1000 pieces would be a ten year supply. Most companies aren't willing to lock up cash for that long. Take a long hard look at this site and T-M.com, there may be 15-20 guys on each forum currently working on a G-body or L-body. That's only 40 sets of seals, what is a company going to do with the other 960 sets?

It was either facebook or TM, I will search and see what he did. He made a set from universal window sweep material, and looked factory.

If I cant find the info, im not opposed to experimenting with my car. The sweeps are wasted on mine.
