Ok. heres the story, one day car was fine next day car started running hotter. It wasnt after beating on it or doing anything abnormal. its not at the point to over heating but its randomly goes past halfway one the guage. ( its a L-body guage) the car usually never goes past not even 1/4 until the end of the the 1/4 mile with 30+ psi of boost it almost makes it to 1/2. well now it just runs at like 1/2 to 3/4 all the time? I thought it was the t-stat so i replaced it....same prob. replaced HG (cometic)......same prob. swapped radiator even though its a freshley re-cored rad....same prob. fan comes on like it supposed to at about 1/2 on the guage. car has brand new water pump, and the t-stat is a 180 will small hole drilled in top. heater core isnt plugged, all hoses are new, coolant has always been clean, no hoses are collapsing, i even ran water through the block and all the hoses and all seems to flowing just fine??!!?? even with fan on all the time car still gets hot! timing is set at 12 degrees, cam and crank timing are dead on for sure. The only thing i can think of is a cracked head or block, but the head is a CNC'd one from Forward Motion and the block is t1 but has less than 50,000. no coolant loss or mixing either.?? I think i covered all bases on this one and now Im lost.. any other ideas please???

Just for kix-n-giggles, try a different sender for the gauge. If it still reads the same, try a different gauge. These things occasionally wack out.

Have you checked the temp at the thermostat housing with an infra red gun? Some rad and repair shops have them. Another option is to buy a proper aftermarket guage and hook that up. It honestly sounds like you've spent alot of time and money over an inaccurate guage issue,

The fan staying on could be a relay/sensor issue. I would do what I suggested before you sink anymore time and money into it. Based on what you have done, your car should be ice cold.
