Just as the title says, I'm trying to tune my '86 GLH-T. I need to see what my o2 sensor is seeing, and what the knock sensor is doing. Is there a specific port I can plug in the L shaped connector underhood to see these values with a voltmeter? How else can you tune for fuel pressure/timing/boost?

Is that the only way? I already have the boost and narrow band A/F gauge, but that isn't exactly good enough to tune off of.

You can tap into the signal wire going to your A/F gauge to read the O2 volts with your voltmeter. To check on knock sensor activity and resulting timing retard you'll need a scan tool. A scan tool with a playback or recording capability is a very useful tool for tuning and driveabilty diagnosis.

Is there a scan tool that plugs into an '86 Dodge?

Of course! The old snap-on 'red brick' will do it just fine as will the OTC 4000 series scanners, and there are plenty of others. Generally the older scan tools can be bought for $2-500; the newer ones with more features are generally much more expensive.

I have a scanner that can do 87 and up dodges, but just not mine. Maybe I'll see if I can buy the connector/card.

adding in a wideband o2 would be nice, and I thought some guys were somehow tapping in some sort of an indicator to the knock sensor?
