Put in my rebuilt super 60. Car feels lethargic. Doesn't have the power of the old t2 stock turbo that was in there. I feel more lag (as would be expected), but when the boost comes on it doesn't feel as fast as the old t2. I guess we'll see when I take it to the drag strip on Friday. Seat of the pants I feel like the car will run slower, but perhaps the car really opens up on the top end which it should do with the super 60 as the stock t2 felt like it was choking my 2.5. Car is 87 heavy daytona, 5 sp, stage 5 from TU, cummins intercooler, 3" exhaust, +40's, 255 fuel pump, 18 psi boost, ported exhaust manifold, etc

You have checked the obvious, timing correct and if the head was pulled the belts not a tooth off?

With my old super 60 and completely stock head I pulled my buddys bolt on 88 5.0 mustang gt. We were lined up at the track and i gave him a good head start. Then i pulled right on by him on the top end of the track...

Mine felt the same way when i switched to the s60. It may feel slower but it is faster. The boost just builds a little slower so you don't get the surge of power like the t2 turbo.

That's what I'm thinking is that I don't get the surge of power as I did with the stock t2. I didn't pull the head to swap the turbo I pulled it off with the head still on the car. I'll see at the track.

my car had the mitsu on it running at about 12psi... the s60 doesn't feel quite the same off the line, more lag... but as soon as it spools a little, man, what a difference

My stock turbo would feel like I hit a 100 shot of nitrous when I hit 12 psi. The s60 does not because the power comes on more gradually. The s60 has more pull at top end thogh.

I'm just going by what my MP+ turbo does. It's basically the same fin configuration as a S60 .. just has a bit smaller comp wheel. When I floor it the boost rises almost instantly to 10psi in 1st gear. 2nd and 3rd gears are about the same ... and it pulls hard. I'd of guessed that the S60 would be close to that as well.
