Need help, had the hood open on the rampage and had disconnected the hood release cable from the latch, then later closed the hood, forgetting to hook the hood pop cable back up. Now I've got no way to open the hood! Anyone have any suggestions on how to open a L body hood without cable??

long screwdriver from underneath... you can do it, i have. takes a couple extra hands, like having someone push down on the hood so there isn't so much pressure against the latch.

Where exactly do I apply pressure to with the screwdriver? The daytona style hood latch is much different than the charger/turismo/rampage style hood latch and I don't see any access from the bottom???

There is a tab with a slot on the hood latch itself. Put the scrwdriver blade in it and twist.

Dunno what the front grille is like on thiose, but when the cable snapped on my van, I took off the grille and could get at it, was still a bit like keyhole surgery though.
