i usualy get 20 or so mpg out of turbo omnis, but this one is getting 12 or so... its pretty rediculous especially considering how expensive gas is now.. a/f gauge is blue under any throttle around town, green/yellow at wot.. no black smoke out of the exhaust. fuel pressure is 50, injectors are +20

any suggestions on where i should start? i cant afford a 12 mpg 4 clyinder heh

50psi is seriously high for +20's.. Are you running a computer that supports +20's?

if you have not changed the fuel pressure, the injectors, or the calibration then i would suggest you give the car a fresh tune up: new plugs (go with the stock ones gapped to .032"-.035", the stock 12 heat range will yield better fuel economy than a colder plug), new cap and rotor, new wires unless those are relatively new, and check your base timing once all the new parts are installed.

other causes could involve: slipping clutch, leaking fuel, vacuum leak, dragging brake pad, poor aligment, worn wheel bearings.....lots of other causes so start w/ the easiest, a tune up.

i have +20's and a 3 bar TU cal base f.p. set to 48 psi....my omni always gets over 20 mpg average so if you're at 12 then you do have something wrong. good luck.
