My Spirit is throwing Code 34 and is studdering.

Has this happened to anyone and if so could you shoot me some advice.

clean the connector, most likely you need a new speed sensor

I did some research but it seems like that should just effect the cruise control only.

happened to me just like a month ago! they wanted to rape me on a new speed sensor so i took it out made sure all the wiring was good and the terminals were clean threw it back in and it ran fine..i guess i lucked out on that one

it's on the trans near the firewall...basically directly under the turbo where the shafts go into the trans...theres a 2 wire connector on top of it depending on year i believe
