i have a 1988 shelby z, t-ll and 5 speed. the problem is the i cant control the boost. a while back with the hose disconnected from the wastegate the car wouldnt boost past 14 psi. now with the manual boost controller closed all the way, i still hit overboost. any ideas?

too much boost? NEVER!

is it possible you have a cracked line somewhere? i've hit OB before when the line to the wastegate was cracked or unhooked.

you say the valve is closed all the way, wouldn't that prevent the wastegate from seeing any signal from the solenoid?

If the controller is "closed" all the way, you will never "not" hit overboost. Back it out until you can barely blow air through it, and start from there.

open the valve all the way. start there and slowly close it until you get your desired boost.
