well, i was changing a leaky fuel line where the filter is on my spirit r/t today and noticed that it had quick dis-connect fittings on it. ok i know ma mopar isn't gonna have this, so now what? well this is what i did and you can too! here's how.. first remove the hose that needs repair by pushing the lock tab inside the line while pushing the linetoward the lock, then when the clip goes in, simply pull the hose off of the metal line and/or filter and clamp the hose in a vice like so in pic 1. next use a SHARP chisle or screw driver and cut the metal bandclamp that holds the hose on the fitting like pic 2 and use a pair of wire cutters and peel off the clamp. now all you have is a fitting that has the hump on it so you can use a new hose and new clamps. whalla! you've just rebuilt the fancy fuel lines you thought were gonna be trouble. i hope this helps someone out there. if so than the time i took to do this was worth it.

Just make sure you use fuel injection hose and not regular rubber fuel line. Also, try and use the fuel injection hose clamps and not just regular worm style hose clamps. The injection clamps due hold better.

Mopar does have a repair kit with the quick connects. I have a package somewhere and it has 4 fittings in total.( 2 straight and 2 45 degree) If I stumble on it, I'll post the part number. I do recall it being used to repair pretty much everything 1995 and older.

Oh man, talk about bad timing. I was using the box from that kit to hold all my remotes. Until yesterday, when I tossed it out. It would have been about two feet to my right as I type this.
That kit is great, it also comes with about 9 inches of high-pressure hose line of the proper size, and instructions for just about every variation of filter and lines that could be found on any Mopar.

Has anyone been able to find any 1/4" aftermaket ends? I never could so I always used TJs little trick. Actually a bench grinder works good also to get the factory crimp off also. Just make sure to always use FUEL INJECTION CLAMPS as Joe stated above. Stock little hose clamps are not made for the the high pressures in our cars and they tend to cut the hose if they are too tight.

I got rid of all the quick connects when I replaced my fuel lines. I cut the end off so I just had straight pipe and filed them down smooth, then used FI hose and band clamps at the fuel pump, filter, and fuel rail. works great! And I never have to worry about the lines rusting because they are stainless steel, $16 at the junkyard from a FFV Spirit

i've had my quick disconnect rust out on me just before the fuel filter. car had a hard time starting since the system wasn't pressurized like it was supposed to cuz the gas would drip out from the steel quick disconnect. leaked gas everywhere too. luckily my car was a TBI and didn't require the higher pressures that turbos need. parked the car one time and started smelling gas and lo-and-behold there was a puddle under my car.

they sell plastic replacement quick disconnects at the auto parts stores. no worries about them rusting out on you again. i just cut the hose behind the crush clamp and popped in the new plastic quick disconnect and popped it onto the fuel filter. threw on a fuel injection hose clamp at the cut end and all was well again.
