2 cars, 2 different problems?

1st car is 83 scamp converted to t2 with auto. i am running a stage 2 MP computer, +20s, grainger, all the common upgrades, fmic, etc. i have been getting code 24 when i start it on cold days. i am thinking it may have to do with the logic being for std trans and not an auto, i had to adjust the throttle body plate open a little for idle, may be making it show a little higher reading. i can shut the car off and restart and all is well. i got to a stop light 2 nights ago and light came on, when i got home and checked it i got codes: 11, 12, 24? i have not discnected the battery in a couple of months so why these codes? earlier that day i was playing with fuel pressure but that seems a little odd and should not have anything to do with it. i am going to unhook the battery and recheck but what do yall think, just seems very odd the car never shut off or anything that would cause these codes.
2nd car is all stock 87 shelby charger, it wants to shut off sometimes when letting off the gas or pushing the clutch in coming to a light. not all the time, the idle will drop off a little and come back up or it will just stall. i went over all the vac. lines and rechecked again and again, all good. i put a used speed sensor in, same thing. i put in new MP injectors in it before i got it, not very old. would idle speed control motor cause this? i have one in the shed. what would yall start to check on it.

my stock 86 did the same thing- maybe the VSS?

i already replaced that and new or old no change, but then again i did replace the map 3 times before the 4th one fixed the scamp. it is too come and go to be that. i also feel it may be some thing causing an overfueling issue. i noticed that the logic is a reman probaly from autozone and we will not go there. i am going to try a logic that is out in the shed and see what that does. any other ideas?

i will make them run or i will BURN them! you do not need 3 TDs so call it, me doing you a favor. i just love these cars probably because they keep me so busy working on them, i must have too much time. i will be pulling your motor apart tommarow and we can start your list of goodies.

My 87 SC did the same thing. It was the TPS. You should try changing this.

amen brother, i was talking to scott at the shop about women this am and the fact my wife spends money foolishly. but then again i probably spend more on these cars than she does on nails, shoes, hair, etc. her jeep is another story though, i trying to figure her out and i may have a better chance than the 2 cars,lol. back to the 87, i will try a tps and see what that does.
any other ideas on the codes on the scamp, 11 and 12? i could not mess with it because of the temp and rain last night. i will give it a go tonignt after i move all the bikes and 4 wheelers out of the garage so i can pull it in.

update on both cars, i swapped in TPS and idle speed control and things got better, put in used map/ logic from known good car and charger seems to be running much better for now. i will keep my fingers crossed.
on the scamp, started it and ran really bad, almost had to keep giving it gas just to keep it running. light came on as soon as it started, i checked and got codes 12, 16 and 24. seems odd because 16 was not there last time. i went and rechecked all connections, cleaned and regreased all the way to the logic. i got out multimeter and found 11.6 volts at battery and 11.2 with car running, i am assuming bad alternator. may have somthing to due with code 24, TPS too, could be throwing things off. i will check at the back of the alt. and make sure before i replace it with another one from the shed. i really hope it is that simple and is not a wiring problem, wish me luck.

alright i am back on and not happy. i checked for volts at back of alt. and did not seem to be charging so i put alt. from my circle track car because i know it was working, no help. still not charging, i went to the fuseable links near battery, 6 wire. all are showing good, what should i check next? i do not have alldata here at the house, i really need to get this car going, my brother has my cherokee. the race car is old style with regulater on firewall but it should be the same alt, right? really need some of you guys that have run into this to throw me a bone.

i just tryed PM and still no change, what do yall think i should check next. i broke the ground strap pulling on it i'll fix that and check back. great now it is starting to drop freezing rain.

this car is insane! i played with the wires coming from battery, the one that goes straight to PM looked like it could be slightly loose, so cleaned it and tightened it up at battery. i forgot to hook the ground up i broke down near fender well. started it up and started to charge at 18.5, shut it off. fixed ground and then charging at 14.5. i am now very scared to drive it because if it's like everything else it will go to acting crazy again, my luck. freezing rain outside so i will not drive it now but please wish me luck!
if anyone can think of a few more places to look before i drive it let me know

alright, i can't beleive that this car wants to put up such a fight. now it seems to be charging fine but if i rev it fast it wants to totally lose everything at 3000 rpms. it almost feels like boost cutout at 3k? if i run codes it shows 12 and 24, but no light coming on untill i run the codes. totally unbelievable, start have light on, cut it off then restart, runs good untill 3k then lose light on the A/F and lose all power untill you let out of it or go to next gear, good untill 3k. makes no sense to me, this was not even doing this untill it started to charge right? what would tie these two things together? please guys, i need some help.
